1. Little Dog Lodgings welcomes fully vaccinated, non-aggressive, house trained, well-behaved dogs that are described as small or medium sized.
  • Over night Boarding fees are charged in blocks of 24 hours starting from the time your dog is in our care. Additional hours up to 12 hours are charged at a daycare day rate. Daycare rates are from 8.00am – 6.00pm. 
  • Bank Holidays may incur additional fees which you will be advised of at the time of booking. 
  • We do not guarantee that your dog will have exclusive boarding access. We are licenced to have up to 8 dogs including our own for daycare/boarding. We do not accept bookings for dogs that are not able to walk or board with other dogs. 
  • Dogs will be fed separately or in family groups to ensure they only access the food provided by you.
  • A consultation at Little Dog Lodgings is required, prior to booking, for all new clients. 
  • A Booking is confirmed when full payment is received which should be received 3 days before a day care booking and up to 7 days before overnight boarding commences .
  • Little Dog Lodgings accepts cash/cheque/electronic payment. 
  1. Your obligation.
  • You will present the dog for boarding in a clean and groomed condition and with up to date vaccinations, de-flea and anti-worming treatments. 
  • You will need to supply the necessary dog food and treats for the duration of the stay. If additional food or treats are required you agree, upon presentation of a receipt, to refund Little Dog Lodgings 
  • You agree that if you instruct Little Dog Lodgings to exercise your dog off the lead you accept full liability for any loss or damage caused as a result of your dog being off the lead. In the event that your dog attacks a person or a dog or in the event that he/she is involved in a fight with another dog/person causing any damage or injury you agree to be responsible for any losses incurred including payment of veterinary fees or any medical treatment required. 
  • You undertake to make full disclosure of any quality or characteristic which might make your dog not suitable for home boarding, including, but not limited to behavioural or health problems, anti-social behaviour including aggression, incontinence/lack of housetraining or excessive loud barking/whining. Failure on your part to disclose any matter which might render the dog unsuitable for home boarding and you will also be liable for additional costs if Little Dog Lodgings experiences difficulties due to failure to disclose in the booking form any matter that would be accepted as reasonably unsuitable for home boarding. 
  • Owners will provide secure collars /harnesses complete with identify tags for their dog(s).  in the event of a dog arriving without a collar or harness, we will provide one in the first instance but may elect not to accept a dog for a future visit.  An additional Identity tags with our contact details will be provided for all visits, as required under the Milton Keynes Home Boarding Licence conditions. 
  • Dogs will be lead walked unless an agreement is made for safe free running and we receive confirmation to work without a lead in writing or confirmed online.
  1. Cancellations 
  • In the event of cancellations that are notified to us 14 days prior to the start of the booking period, all fees will be refunded, or held over for subsequent bookings. 
  • Any bookings that are cancelled between 7 days -48 hours before the start date of the booking period will require 50% payment for services,.
  • All bookings cancelled within 48 hours of the booking period will be payable in full. 
  1. Changes to return date 
  • Little Dog Lodgings carefully schedules dates and times to provide a service for you and other clients, therefore, there are no refunds or credits for early returns or last minute changes to pet care. 
  • In the event of a client being delayed on return, they must inform Little Dog Lodgings immediately who will use best endeavours to provide continued care for your dog(s) or make alternative arrangements, either with your emergency contact or another pet care provider. 
  • Late collections may be subject to an additional charge. 
  1. Aggressive Animals 
  • Little Dog Lodgings will not accept aggressive animals. Dogs must not have a history of having attacked other animals or people/children. 
  • The client agrees to be responsible for all costs (including but not limited to medical care, legal fees, etc) if the client’s pet(s) should bite another animal or person.
  • Any dog demonstrating uncontrollable or dangerous behaviour will be removed to the emergency contact or kennels at the owner’s expense plus an additional fee of £25. 
  1. Health 
  • Valid vaccination cards must be available upon request. 
  • Little Dog Lodgings will follow instructions to administer medications as directed but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result. 
  • In the event of a dog requiring veterinary treatment while staying at Little Dog Lodgings, the owner will undertake to pay all resulting fees including expenses incurred for each veterinary visit. 
  • Bitches in season or due to be in season during the boarding period are not accepted. 
  1. Insurance 
  • Little Dog Lodgings holds valid public liability insurance, available to view at the pre-booking consultation. 
  • It is recommended that the owner holds pet insurance for their pets. 
  1. Privacy Policy 
  • All of your information will be kept private and confidential. 
  • Little Dog Lodgings highly respects clients entrusting us with the care of their pets. 
  • All of our records will be stored securely.
